Custom wooden kitchenware and Live Edge Furniture

Epoxy Boards
All of these items are custom, one of a kind boards. I use exotic woods, such as Claro Walnut and Tulipwood or native hardwood species such as Cherry and Maple. There are several different types of epoxy used based on the depth of the pour and the effect I'm trying to attain. All epoxy is FDA Food Grade Compliant CFR 175.300
After the epoxy and wood are assembled the piece is trimmed to size, sanded and finished. The wood is sanded to 320 grit then finished with an oil, depending on the board's use. Most boards get Osmo Wood Wax finish. It is microporous and resistant to most liquids. When dry it is safe for humans, animals and plants. The epoxy is generally finished in a series of sandings; wet sanded to 1,000 grit then polished to 4,000 grit. Some of the wood and epoxy then receives a final application of Black Forest graphene coating if the piece needs extra protection. The process takes a minimum of 10 days if there are multiple epoxy pours (even for a Charcuterie board).
